There is no way that a Mahatma Gandhi or a Martin Luther King Jr. could gather a following nowadays.
In today’s world you are a flat out pussy if you are not willing to kill somebody to advance your agenda.
Jerry Vlasak a leading animal rights activist has called for the assassination of scientists working in animal research. In an interview, Vlasak told the Observer, "If something bad happens to [animal researchers], it will discourage others" and "I think for five lives, 10 lives, 15 human lives, we could save a million, 2 million, 10 million non-human lives."
Look, I love my dog as much as the next guy but this dude is a freak. But sadly, he doesn’t stand out in today’s day-n-age.
I mean everyone is killing everyone nowadays. How long before the AARP has a militant wing? I predict sometime in my lifetime the March of Dimes or the American Red Cross will be threatening to behead somebody if their fund raising goals aren’t met.
Activist researcher David Martosko, research director at the Centre for Consumer Freedom, which monitors activist groups on behalf of business interests, responded by saying Vlasak was 'one of the most dangerous animal rights zealots on the planet'.
He added: 'He's not making bombs, but he is making bombers.'
Three months ago, Vlasak told a US television audience that violence was a 'morally justifiable solution'.
Vlasak has also likened animal testing to the way that Nazis experimented on Jews, except for the little fact that Jews were human beings and not food.
Earlier this month, in Virginia during a speech he said: 'It won't ruin our movement if someone gets killed in an animal rights action. It's going to happen sooner or later.'
What would the world say if Johnson & Johnson issued a statement immediately after that saying, “it won’t ruin our business if he smoke Vlasak. We’ll just offer 20% off coupons in the paper the next week on shampoo and toothpaste and we are confident the people would forget all about it.”
You would say Johnson and Johnson were wrong wouldn’t you?
While acknowledging that his views might alienate some people, Vlasak said more and more people in the animal rights movement were drawn to violent action.
'The grass roots are tired of writing letters. The polite approach has not worked,' he insisted.
More and more people are drawn to violent action. No shit? That is my point. This seems to be the way of the world nowadays.
Like I said, Mahatma Gandhi or a Martin Luther King Jr. would not be able to gather a following today.
If you are literally not kicking someone’s ass you aren’t serious.
What I want people to see is that extremism is the same whether or not they are Islamic extremist, Jewish, Christian, or even into animal rights.
Just because you agree with someone in principle does not commit you to offering your support to whatever means they take to reach their ends.
People I love animals but there is nothing that you can show me that you could do to a chicken that is going to make me say someone was justified in killing a human being.
What is actually pretty disturbing about animal rights activists in particular if you have ever had the pleasure to know one, is that it seems like they care more about animals than they do human beings.
Have you noticed that or is it just me?
If a child was walking his dog across the street and they both got hit by a car they would step right over the child to get to the dog.
Something ain’t right about that. Dammit I feel for the dog but there is never an instance where I would care more about dog than I do another human being.
Now how can I say this without sounding like I get off lowering puppies into burning septic tanks for fun?
If a monkey has to suffer in order for a human being to develop a cure for cancer then the monkey has to go.
At the same time I don’t think that we need to blind 1 million bunny rabbits to make a better shampoo.
I see a difference between animal testing for cosmetic products and medical research.
I don’t know but I see a lot of room for compromise on this issue that Jerry Bin laden Vlasak doesn’t seem to see.
If Vlasak were talking about animal testing for cosmetic products like toothpaste and shampoo then that would be one thing. I mean killing people is bullshit, but at least I could see why he was so upset.
But medical research? Please. Take the Rage for example from the film “28 days Later”. Fuck them monkeys.
If Magilla Gorilla’s got to loose a kidney to develop medicine so that my kid won’t lose one then that’s the breaks.
Do you think a silver back gorilla or a hippopotamus cares more about you than he does one of his own?
If shoving a banana up a human’s ass would give a gorilla insight into some problem plaguing their community half of Africa would be walking around with banana mush smeared all over their asses.
