|Another Ex-dubya Adviser calls Bush an idiot
I swear to God it seems as if Bush gets caught doing more shit than most presidents get accused of in their four years in office.
First Dubya's paying actors to pose as reporters to stand up and cheer for him on camera for his signing of the new Medicare law, now yet another former White House advisor besides Paul O'Neil has come out with a book telling us what we already know, that Bush is an idiot.
The question is how many people from Bush's own hand picked cabinet are going to have to come out and tell the American people what this administration is all about and how it operates behind closed doors before you open your eyes to what kind of man he is?
I swear to God, if I hear one more person praising this guys "moral character" I am going to puke.
I swear that if Bush was not enjoying the luxury of having a republican controlled house and senate behind him, there would be more congressional committees investigating this administration than we could count.
The word impeachment would be in the press so often that it would be so familiar second graders would be able to spell it.
"I find it outrageous that the president is running for re-election on the grounds that he's done such great things about terrorism. He ignored it. He ignored terrorism for months, when maybe we could have done something to stop 9/11," Richard Clarke, Bush's top official on counter-terrorism who headed a cyber security board, told CBS "60 minutes" in an interview.
He also writes in his book about how he mentioned "al-Qaeda" to Condoleezza Rice prior to September 11 th she acted like she had never heard of them before.
"Her facial expression gave me the impression that she had never heard the term before," Clarke wrote in his new book - "Against All Enemies" - that is scathingly critical of Bush's response to the 2001 terror attacks against New York and Washington .
Bush Sr. appointed Clarence Thomas to the Supreme Court without Thomas ever stepping foot in a court of law to try a case of any kind and now Dubya has a "unnaturally close relationship" with a National Security Advisor that has never heard of what we now know is one of the most dangerous world-wide terrorist organizations since Cobra Commander and Destro.
According to Clarke, Dubya 's national security leadership met formally nearly 100 times in the months prior to the Sept. 11 attacks, yet terrorism was the topic during only two of those sessions.
Clarke also seems to corroborate Paul O'Neil's statements about Dubya and his personal hard on for Iraq .
Almost immediately after the Sept. 11 terror attacks, Clarke said the president asked him directly to find whether Iraq was involved in the suicide hijackings.
"Now he never said: 'Make it up.' But the entire conversation left me in absolutely no doubt that George Bush wanted me to come back with a report that said: 'Iraq did this,"' said Clarke
In his book Clarke also criticizes Bush over his decision to invade Iraq, saying "it helped brew a new wave of anti-U.S. sentiment among supporters of accused terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden."
"Bin Laden had been saying for years: ` America wants to invade an Arab country and occupy it, an oil-rich Arab country.' This is part of his propaganda," Clarke said.
"So what did we do after 9/11? We invade...and occupy an oil-rich Arab country, which was doing nothing to threaten us."
Of course the Dubya political machine was working overtime today trying to paint Clarke as disgruntled and out to hurt the president. They claimed that he wasn't even involved in most of the meetings even though he was head of counter terrorism, which is similar to what they said about O'Neil , and also like with O'Neil , they charged that this is all politically motivated to hurt the president.
Well I have news for you. Just because certain information "hurts the president" when it comes out doesn't mean it's politically motivated.
Besides if it's the truth who gives a shit when it comes out? If it's the truth who cares if its politically motivated?
Dubya is so fucked up that I am starting to think it may in fact work out to his favor. He might be able to pull in that group of voters that are rarely even identified by pollsters.
I'm talking about that group of voters that will vote for a guy just because they feel sorry for the bastard.
