Clinton

The 42nd President of the United States . During the Clinton administration the U.S. enjoyed more peace and economic well being than at any time in US history. Under Clinton 's watch the US had the lowest unemployment rate in modern times, the lowest inflation in 30 years, the highest home ownership in the country's history, the lowest crime rate in decades in many areas of the country, and fewer cases of families dependent on welfare than it had been in 30 years. Clinton had the first balanced budget in decades and even achieved a budget surplus. He left office with a job approval rating surpassed by none and matched only by Franklin D. Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan.
Despite all of his accomplishments, which Republicans try to argue was just a coincidence, he was impeached by a Republican majority House of Representatives for lying to the American people about getting head from an intern in the oval office. Which only goes to show that the difference between being deified and demonized in American politics is as simple as what side of the aisle you sit on.
