Ah, the connection that I had been looking for.
I, like many Americans, have been wondering how could any American vote Dubya into office for a second term? Who were these people?
Well I might have gotten my answer.
Apparently the president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers Association said that Toyota turned its back on literally hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies offered to them by several American states to build a new plant in their state in favor of building a plant in Ontario, Canada.
Any of the extra money that they would have gotten from any subsidies the states would’ve offered would have been eaten away by the amount of money it would cost to train American workers to do the friggin job.
I’m serious. I am not making this up.
Now I am sure conservative Bush supporters will be dropping their “Creationism Is Science Too” signs and their “Whoever Said The World Is Round? Jesus Didn’t” signs to make knew ones about boycotting Toyota cars because they can’t afford to train your stupid asses to work high-tech jobs, but your supposed to be Republicans and Republicans are supposed to be all about business, right?
So you are supposed to know better than us “intellectual, bleeding-heart, fiscally irresponsible atheists” that if it doesn’t make dollars then it doesn’t make sense.
"In Alabama, trainers had to use pictorials to teach some illiterate workers how to use high-tech plant equipment," said Gerry Fedchun, president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers' Association.
"The level of the workforce in general is so high that the training program you need for people, even for people who have not worked in a Toyota plant before, is minimal compared to what you have to go through in the southeastern United States. The educational level and the skill level of the people down there is so much lower than it is in Ontario."
So let me get this straight here. Since we are so stupid in the American southeast, let me connect the dots for you guys in ‘Bama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Georgia and what not.
If you thought it was harmless electing a president that favors teaching our young kids that God created man by molding a pile of sand and blowing up its nose as science, well it appears as if it has come back to bite you in the ass.
Now for those of you who have a difficult time seeing the big picture, ask yourselves, how long do you think we can afford to have America be run by these intellectual midgets who all in the name of bringing back America’s strong moral core keep dumbing America down? How long before we end up letting these religious zealots turn us into the same cave drawing, ninja suit wearing, intolerant, illiterates that the Taliban were, only of the Christian variety?
Religious people have never shown a history of valuing education, particularly educating themselves about worldly things such as sciences.
Remember they put people to death for saying that world revolved around the Sun.
Sure, you laugh now. But don’t think for a second that the same person that thinks that a five-day-old embryo is a human being, the creationism is a science and that our founding father’s built this country on some tried and true Christian ethic like democracy, while you wait for Jesus to return to earth to bring the lot of you intolerant moral retards back to heaven with him to watch him sit on a throne in his undemocratic his heavenly kingdom isn't the same person that was burning people at the stake for saying the Earth revolves around the Sun.
Don’t you see the connection?
You're the same person.
Education is not a moral issue.
The reality is, that if I am a betting man I would put my money down on the fact that the same people that voted for Bush because they feel like they finally have Jesus in the White House are also the same people that gave Nissan and Honda so much trouble when they couldn’t use the written word to teach workers in Mississippi and Alabama how to operate machinery but had to resort to pictures because their reading levels were so low.
I mean, it’s just a guess but what do you think?
